| Wykład prof. Roberta Edelmana - streszczenie Rapid technological advances are occurring in the fields of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). These advances are proving especially beneficial for cardiac imaging. With MRI, parallel imaging techniques allow scan times to be reduced by factors as large as four or greater. Real-time MR imaging makes it practical to
obtain diagnostic images even in patients with irregular heart beats.
With CT, 64 slice multi-detector CT (MDCT) systems enable the In this lecture, current clinical applications of MRI and MDCT for the heart will be reviewed. These include the evaluation of myocardial function, perfusion, viability, pulmonary vein mapping, and coronary artery imaging. Newer developments will also be considered, such as 3 Tesla and novel contrast agents. |
